As partner and Executive Vice President, under Tony’s leadership since 1998, millions of square feet of Class A office and warehouse space have been leased and developed, many to fortune 500 companies. Tony served on the Bush-Cheney Presidential Transition team, that headed Secretary Spencer Abraham’s to the Department of Energy. Tony was Deputy Chief of Staff to Senator Abraham in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he was an attorney with Kitch, Drutchas, Wagner, and Kenney, P.C. in Detroit. Tony has served on several boards; Grubb & Ellis, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Bank of Michigan and Bloomfield Christian School. He is a past recipient of Crain’s 40 Under 40 award. Tony earned a Political Science/Pre-Law Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law.

Chris Kojaian joins Kojaian Companies as the third generation to enter the family business. As Senior Vice President, he is focused primarily on leasing and development. Previously, Chris worked in Washington, D.C. at the White House for Vice President Pence. He then served as the Director of Operations for the Secretary of Energy. Chris is a graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University.

Paul is a Managing Director and has been a valued member of the Kojaian Companies since 1985. He is experienced in all facets of Real Estate, from development and property management to his primary focus of leasing office, industrial, and retail developments throughout Michigan.

Eric Horwitz joins Kojaian Companies as a Leasing Representative. Eric brings a strong background in commercial real estate, having previously served as a Senior Research Analyst at CBRE and as a commercial real estate broker with Colliers International. Prior to earning his MBA and getting into commercial real estate, Eric spent 14 years with the Detroit Tigers as a Bat Boy and Clubhouse Attendant. He is a graduate of the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University and is eager to contribute his expertise to the Kojaian team.

Zachary Burk joins Kojaian Companies as a Leasing Representative, bringing a strong background in commercial real estate brokerage and client relationship management. Prior to joining Kojaian Companies, Zachary gained experience at Gerdom Reality and Investment in leasing, investment sales support, and lead generation, working closely with property owners and businesses to identify strategic real estate opportunities. In addition to his real estate experience, Zachary has a background in coaching and performance development, which has shaped his disciplined, detail-oriented approach and commitment to achieving results for his clients. He is passionate about building long-term relationships and delivering value through market insight, communication, and execution. Zachary holds a degree in Secondary Education with a focus in Physical Education, along with minors in Business and History from Concordia University Ann Arbor. While there, he was a member of the Men’s Golf team, the Men’s Basketball Team, and the Esports team. He was also an assistant coach for the Men’s & Women’s Golf teams and the Women’s Basketball team.
